Remember…
Next week is fall break. We will be out of school Monday through Friday. Students nor teachers will be at school October 18-22. We will return to school on Monday, October 25. Have a wonderful and safe week!
Open House is Tuesday, October 12. Be sure and come. There will be an auction to benefit St. Jude and Chik-fil-A will be available in the cafeteria.
Be sure to watch your child’s backpack this week. Wednesday, interim reports will come home.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.
Helpful Tip: When in a restaurant discuss with your student what he or she would like to order before speaking to a waitress. Then, allow your student to order his or her food independently. This will help improve both language and social skills!
Parents, don’t forget to look at the notebooks that come home with your child daily. I put important notes or notices on each daily page in order to keep you informed. Also, I check the notebooks daily. If you need me to have a piece of information this is a good way to get it to me.

Welcome back for another year!!!
We are still trying to work out the kinks in schedules. As soon as they are final I will send home a list of which day you student has each MAPS class. This will allow you to know which days PE uniforms will be needed. Thanks for you patience with this matter. We want the best possible schedule we can have for your student.

7th Grade Field Day will be on Wednesday, May 20th.
The 8th Grade Picnic will be on Friday, May 22nd.
There will be an art auction to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on Tuesday, April 7. The Auction will be held in the auditorium at CMS at 5:00pm. Art that is included in the auction consists of student work and the work of local artists.
